Pouring: Monmouth Red: a sour red aged with Lactobacillus & Pediococcus for 18 months then aged 8 more months in apple brandy barrels Avance: Sour ale brewed with molasses and four different yeast strains, then aged in oak bourbon barrels for a year with lactobacillus and pediococcus. It is then aged with fresh, locally picked strawberries for another six months. Tiarna: A blend of two beers, one aged in oak and fermented with 100% brettanomyces, and the other fermented in stainless with a blend of two belgian yeast strains. Nancy: Sour red ale fermented with Maine cherries and Brettanomyces in 100% stainless, for just shy of a year. the cherries were a blend of Balaton and Montmorrency and added at a rate of 2lbs per gallon Golden Brett: Dark golden colored beer, with a fruity aroma and flavors suggesting citrus, apricot and bread crust. The mild tartness of the beer gives way to a long, clean finish. Curieux: A Tripel ale in aged Jim Beam bourbon barrels for eight weeks. This dinner is sold out but call 978-274-2231 to be put on the wait list! This year, MWBBF will take place on Saturday, July 30th from 1:00PM-5:00PM at the Local 36 Union Hall located at 2319 Chouteau Avenue, Suite 100 in St. Louis. Each year, Midwest Belgian Beer Fest partners with a local charity.
