Allagash adds two new fermenters increasing capacity by 20%
In mid-February, we added two new 60-barrel fermenters custom made for us at McCann Fabrication in New Gloucester, Maine. Prior to adding these tanks we were working at, and even at times, beyond capacity. With the addition of these new tanks, we’ll be able to increase our production by twenty percent. It’s hard for us to believe, but over the past 11 years Allagash has grown from 120 barrels in its first year to nearly 5,000 barrels of production this year!
Everyone at the brewery is excited about the expansion and looks forward to heading into a productive summer. "We’re excited about the addition of these two new tanks," said President and Brewmaster Rob Tod. "Hopefully they will give us the additional capacity we need to get through the busy summer months and beyond."
