Naomi, Dee Dee and Jason attended the April 19th press conference at Maine Beer and Beverage in Portland. They met both Governor Baldacci and US Representative Chellie Pingree. This press conference was a chance to make the official presentation of Maine beers to President Obama, in response to a request he had made while in town a few weeks ago discussing health care. It was also an opportunity to highlight small business in Maine and the effects of legislation like health care and house bill 4278, which would reduce taxes on small brewers.
