We’re Good Together

Positive change takes teamwork. And it’s your support that helps us achieve our goals of using less water per barrel of beer, keeping more waste out of the landfill, and looking at everything we do with an eye for sustainability. As a Certified B Corp, we view all of our sustainability practices as powerful ways to be a positive member of our community, both local and global.

Local Grain

We use more than 1  million pounds of locally grown and processed grain, per year.

Finding new homes for used material helps us keep 99% of our waste out of the landfill.

Clean Water

Clean water is essential, which is why we support Sebago Clean Waters.

Green Team

The Allagash Green Team is constantly looking to improve our sustainability.

Our solar array was installed on top of the brewery in 2015.

For Maine, With Love

Local Grain

In 2016, we made a pledge to brew with one million pounds of local grain, per year, by 2021. And we did it! There’s no better way than buying local grain to help support the farmers and maltsters that call Maine home.

99.8% of Brewery Waste

We Sidestream it

We’re always working to reduce our impact. That includes finding new homes for material we can’t use and ensuring that our waste is recycled. One specific way we do this is our Recycling Co-Op, where we collect hard-to-recycle materials from partner breweries and stores, and ship it all off to be properly recycled.

Brewing to support

Clean Water

For every barrel (31.5 gallons) of beer that we brew, we donate ten cents to Sebago Clean Waters—a collective of organizations working to preserve our local water source. Clean water is essential for our company, our community, and our high quality of life here in Maine.
