This past weekend, we hiked out with the Alpine Women Collective and the Appalachian Mountain Club: a snowy 8.3 mile trek into the 100 Mile Wilderness in search of the Gorman Chairback Lodge.
We’d like to add a special note here to thank the AMC. The lodge, food, hospitality—warm stoves and snow-cooled beer waiting for us on arrival—and every other thoughtful touch made the trip unforgettable.
We won’t say too much more about the experience, since the pictures tell a vibrant story on their own. But it’s worth noting that when you’re out in the wilderness, the success of a trip often depends on the people you’re with. And we can wholeheartedly say that this one was an unequivocal blast. Thanks again to the eighteen women who joined us from near and far. We can’t wait for the next outing!
