Summer always evokes memories of laying on the beach, the smell of meat sizzling on the grill, and kids running in the yard, laughing while spraying each other with water guns. But summer can be brutal, especially in Georgia, which means having a refreshing beverage is key.
BBQ with Seconds to Summer
There should be a rule—you can’t have summer without a BBQ. And whether you’re doing the work or waiting patiently for a hot dog to come off the grill, having a refreshing beverage at hand is imperative. And nothing is more refreshing than a lager like Seconds to Summer. This easy-drinking lager is brewed with traditional hops from the Czech Republic and fermented with Belgian yeast for a crisp, refreshingly hoppy flavor. Crack open a can, and you’ll have everything you need for a hot summer day.
River Rafting With Floating Holiday
I dream of lazing on the river with a beer in hand, letting the current of the river carry me down the way. In Georgia, we call it Shootin’ the Hooch. One day, I will cross this off my bucket list, and when I do, I know exactly what beer I’m taking with me. Floating Holiday is relaxation in a can. Brewed with lemon peel and a pinch of sea salt, this blonde ale is the perfect beer to keep you refreshed while floating down the river.

Camping with Allagash White
One of my favorite parts of summer is when the sun goes down and the crickets sing. While I could easily enjoy this on the porch, I love to venture into the woods where the stars are the brightest. I cherish moments like these, so it only makes sense to have an award-winning beer to take the experience to the next level. Allagash White upholds the Belgian tradition of beers with a special blend of coriander and Curaçao orange peel, which makes this beer both complex and refreshing.
Boat Day with Two Lights
Another thing on my summer bucket list is spending the day on a boat. Whether that’s on a lake or in the ocean, I long to look around me and see nothing but water. For me, it’s the ultimate form of relaxation and fun. Two Lights complements the vibe of this trip, combining two of the more refreshing drinks of summer: cold beer and sparkling wine. Brewed with sauvignon blanc must and then fermented with both lager and champagne yeast, Two Lights is tart and crisp with a dry profile. The finished beer’s aromas of pear, grape, and light hops pair with a flavor profile that’s a mix of tropical fruit and the snappy spritz of a freshly picked grape. A perfect way to toast to a day spent at sea.
The opportunities for summer fun are endless. However you choose to spend your time, I hope it’s full of sunshine, laughter with friends and family, and plenty of refreshing beer.
