After much deliberation, we’ve decided to bring our beer beyond its current distribution footprint in eastern Pennsylvania. The timing of this launch is planned for March 15th. This will not entirely cover Pennsylvania—but will bring Allagash beer to more people in the PA than have seen it in ten years. To see the exact counties that Allagash will become available in, please scroll beyond our FAQs to the list below.
Q- Why aren’t you just opening up the whole state?
A – We hope to! Right now, we’re taking our time to make sure that we get it right. One of the largest spots we are not distributing to is Pittsburgh. We want to make sure that we have enough beer for our fans before we launch this area. We are currently working on a launch timeline for more regions in PA, but we have yet to set an official launch date – stay tuned!
Q - Why did you choose these areas/wholesalers?
A – We chose the wholesalers we thought would do the best for our brand in a given territory. In many cases, those wholesalers are ones that we did business with back when we were more widely distributed across the state. We’re delighted to start doing business with them again.
Q - Are you going to open any other States this year?
A – We’re busy with launching cans in the Northeast and our expansion into the remainder of PA so we don’t plan to launch any new markets in 2019. We have plenty on our plates!
Q - Why did you choose PA to expand?
A – Philadelphia, the city alone, is our seventh-largest market and we’ve had a lot of calls for our beer in the remainder of PA. It has been ten years since we pulled out of these distribution areas due to capacity restraints. We’re excited to come back.
