Pick Your Own Release

It may be snowy and cold right now in Maine, but we’re remembering the days of visits to some of the local farms whose fruit we use in Pick Your Own.

Pick Your Own begins as a sour red aged in an oak foudre with lactobacillus and pediococcus for 2 years. We then add fresh, local raspberries, cherries, strawberries, and blueberries and age it for an additional three months.

Our blueberries come from Tavern Hill Farm in Windham, Maine.

Our strawberries and cherries come from Doles Orchard in Limington, Maine, and our raspberries from Goss Berry Farm in Mechanic Falls.

The finished beer is a vibrant, ruby red with an aroma of ripe berries and vanilla, and flavor dominated by berries. Pick Your Own finishes dry with notes of bread crust and leaves a lingering tart juiciness.

Pick Your Own releases this Saturday in our tasting room. Doors open at 9:30 am, four bottle limit.
