We’re honored to be chosen by the inspiring folks at Patagonia Provisions to brew a collaboration beer with a very special ingredient. Kernza® is a perennial grain with long roots that allow it to grow in more conditions while regenerating soil. We experimented with this grain by incorporating it in this small-batch beer. The idea is to gain more understanding around how this grain can be used in the brewing process, and also to try to make as delicious a beer as possible while we’re at it.
Grains: Weyermann Bioland Pilsner Malt (Organic), Blue Ox Organic Pale Malt, Organic Kernza, Briess Organic Munich Malt
Hops: Organic Chinook, Organic Aroostook Cascade, Organic Centennial
Yeast: Belgian Lager
ABV: 5.4%
