From Maine With Love #26

Grisette

Were you to visit a farm just over the Belgian border with France around a hundred-or-so years ago, this is likely a beer you’d enjoy. The grisette style of beer is cousin to the Belgian saison, and was often brewed with whatever the farmer had on hand. Our version of this nuanced style is brewed with wheat, for a crisp and eminently refreshing flavor with balanced notes of citrus, pine, grain, and a touch of minerality.

Pilot Teamwork

When it comes to innovating new beer, we rely on every single person that works at Allagash. Doesn’t matter if they’ve been at the company for ten days or ten years. That’s how our pilot system works: anyone at our brewery with an idea can potentially create the next big Allagash beer.
