From Maine With Love #27

Botanical Lager

This take on a beer spritz was inspired by the Spaghett cocktail, which typically features lemon and Aperol—an bitter orange-flavored Italian botanical aperitif—added to a light lager. Our version is brewed with a range of bittering botanicals, including rhubarb, red cinchona, angelica root, and gentian root. We add lemon and orange zest for a citrusy pop before fermenting it with a Belgian lager strain. Deliciously drinkable and refreshingly complex, this one pairs perfectly with springtime.

4.5% ABV

Pilot Teamwork

When it comes to innovating new beer, we rely on every single person that works at Allagash. Doesn’t matter if they’ve been at the company for ten days or ten years. That’s how our pilot system works: anyone at our brewery with an idea can potentially create the next big Allagash beer.
