Neddles
Sour Brown Ale
Neddles begins as a traditional sour brown ale brewed with a blend of pilsner, Munich, Special B, and caramel malts with an additional touch of flaked maize. American ale yeast takes care of primary fermentation before we add Pediococcus and Lactobacillus for souring. Neddles is then sealed in oak barrels previously used for aging rum at New England Distilling. The finished beer gains a deep copper color with a fluffy, tan head. Its aroma blends stone fruit, sour apples, and caramel, while its berry and molasses notes are punctuated by a touch of tartness.
