Belgian-Style Lager with Experimental Hops

This version of our House Beer was dry-hopped with HQG024-001, an experimental hop from the Hop Quality Group (HQG) breeding program. It was then fermented not with our usual House ale yeast, but with a Belgian Lager strain in its place. This brewery-only, draft-only beer expresses an aromatic bouquet of grass, grapefruit, wildflower honey, pine, cereal, and iced tea.

The HQG breeding program is a collaborative effort with the USDA, with the ultimate goal of providing more publicly available hop varieties to growers and brewers.
