Since 1995, we’ve brewed Allagash White, our flagship Belgian-inspired wheat beer with coriander and Curaçao orange peel. Technically, if you’re looking at the beer’s style, it’s a witbier, which translates from Flemish to mean “white beer.”
It’s the beer’s hazy, light appearance that led the Belgians who first brewed this style to name it that way. So, taking a page out of the Belgian’s book, Rob, our founder, named his witbier Allagash White.
