Double Bourbon Barrel-Aged Stout

We aged a silky stout in bourbon barrels to draw the whiskey, oaky, vanilla-y goodness from the staves. Then we aged them for a second time in a second set of bourbon barrels to further develop the flavor, yielding notes of dried fruit, brown sugar, and espresso. With a moderately sweet, slightly bitter finish, Double Bourbon Barrel-Aged Stout is a deeply satisfying beer to sip on chillier days and evenings.
