When it comes to innovating new beer, we rely on every single person that works at Allagash. It doesn’t matter if they’ve been at the company for ten days or ten years. That’s how our pilot system works: anyone at our brewery with an idea can propose the next big Allagash beer.

Working at a brewery tends to make one well aware of the wonderful pairing that is a cold beer and a hot grill. In this handy little guide, we’ll give you some beer styles that we find to be particularly refreshing, some specific beer-and-food pairings that we love, and a little surprise idea for grilling that has been the hit of our barbecues recently.

To say the important part first: if you have a bottle or can of Allagash White, we recommend that you flip it upside down, gently swirl for about ten seconds, and then flip it back over before enjoying it. This quick process is what we call “rousing the beer’s yeast” and it ensures you have the best possible experience with your Allagash White.
